<image:title>About Dialogue Therapy with Jeanne Plo - The unique framework of Dialogue Therapy</image:title>
<image:caption>Dialogue Therapy is a practical approach to communication and provides couples with tools for a higher degree of understanding of one another. Each session is facilitated by a trained therapist who serves as a guide, coach and sounding board. Over the course of 12-13 sessions, couples learn to practice the skills of dialogue, both in and out of the sessions. With practice, old patterns of communication are replaced with new habits of mindful listening, curiosity, and speaking for oneself. This process enables couples to move through feelings of disillusionment, resentment and disagreement. To view the specific topics covered in the sessions, please see “Content of Sessions” on the Services page. Some history of Dialogue Therapy: Created originally by Polly Young-Eisendrath, Ph.D., and Ed Epstein in the mid 80’s, Dr.Young-Eisendrath has continued to develop the Dialogue Therapy method. One of her books, Love Between Equals (2019) may be used as educational reading.</image:caption>

<image:title>About Dialogue Therapy with Jeanne Plo - Meet Jeanne</image:title>
<image:caption>Jeanne Plo has been providing therapeutic support to children, individuals and families for over 30 years as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Her practice has evolved over time as new modalities have emerged. Examples include expressive arts, sand tray therapy, mindfulness, and nonviolent communication practices. Most recently, she has been cultivating her expertise in Dialogue Therapy – a time-limited, defined process encompassing 12 - 13 sessions with committed couples seeking to have better communication with one another. Dialogue Therapy follows a particular framework which enables couples to recognize and break free of unhelpful patterns. Each session builds on the one before, providing insight for the couple about themselves and their partner. Working in this way together, with Jeanne as the guide and coach, couples may transform how they see and relate to one another. Most couples find this creates a positive, open dynamic within their partnership.
